Customer Service Guidelines

Universal Service Guidelines

Billing
– If there is ever a problem with your service, let us know immediately so that we can remedy the situation.

– You will receive your bill by mail. Email billing is available upon request; please pay promptly.
– You can pay your bill by check, echeck, or by credit card. You can pay online, by phone, or by mail.
– Lawn services will auto renew each year until we are told to stop.
– You will be notified of any price increases before the season starts through normal US mail.
– Unpaid balances are subject to late fees, service suspension, and collections.

Pets and Children
– Please keep your children indoors while we are performing services; crews are not allowed to service your lawn if children are in the area.
– We love pets, but for their safety they should be returned to the house while we service your property.
– Properties with excessive animal waste will not be serviced until the waste is removed.
– Our crews are trained to close gates as they leave, but mistakes can happen; you will be responsible to check gates before letting your pets return outside.

Additional Work
– Any additional work that must be completed for the crew to do their job (debris cleanup, removing limbs or sticks, moving belongings, etc.) will be billed at an hourly rate.

Utilities
– If the scope of work we are performing requires it, Carr’s Lawn and Landscape will contact 811 and have the utilities located according to Indiana state law. We will not perform the job unless the utilities have been marked. Any delays on their part are beyond our control.
– If a properly marked public utility is damaged by our work, we will take responsibility for the damage. If that damage is to a copper phone line or coaxial cable we will attempt to repair it within a few hours, at our discretion.
– Communication lines which are buried in a shallow manner and are damaged during edging, aeration, or other services which do not penetrate the ground more than 3” are in violation of code and industry standards; we will not take responsibility for any damage which occurs to these lines.
– We are not responsible for the location of private utility lines, including but not limited to: buried electrical circuits, irrigation, or dog fences. You will need to have these marked by the appropriate vendor before we begin service. We will not take responsibility for lines damaged during service that were not marked.

Damages
– We are not responsible for damages to buried dog fences, low voltage lighting, or any communication wires that are left at a shallow depth or exposed.
– Equipment can cause marks or leave damage on trees, fence post, siding and other obstacles. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to provide defined borders around sensitive areas.
– Fragile items such as plastic landscape lights, lawn ornaments, and small plants should not be placed in the lawn area; we will not be able to service around them if they are present.
